Wands & Pentacles, Swords & Cups

Off to a bonnie start way back then I delved into my interpretations of the minor arcana.  Innocent and sweet drawings that they were.  Unfortunately, I don’t have all of them as my favorites are in private collections.  It’s unfortunate that I don’t have copies of the 2 of Cups and 3 of Swords.

I didn’t get farther than the Fours and I was working in numerical order at the time.

Where to start? The Beginning of course

Many years ago when I was young and a dreamer, I felt inspired to create a tarot deck.  Not really knowing what I was getting myself into, yet inspired by the images in both the Crowley and Waite decks I attempted my first tarots.  My artwork at the time was very primitive and cartoonist.

For the minor arcana, I saw them as beginnings and related the Ace’s to the first stirrings of human life.   The corresponding elements were Wands – Air, Swords – Fire, Cups – Water, and Disks – Earth
